I'm sure most of you have actually watch the recent 9pm show - Rhythm Of Life 变奏曲

Personally, i loved this show, because the storyline revolves around heartfelt issues of friendship and relationships between 4 childhood friends, 3 guys and a girl, and relates to me how decisions made by one, can really impact and affect the lives of your loved ones around you.

In the story, Junjie (played by Christopher Lee), gets a 2nd and 3rd chance to travel back in time to right the wrong decisions that he made, in order to alleviate and minimize the sufferings of his buddies and loved ones due to the repercussions of his actions. Its only in the end, where he decide to sacrifice himself, could he ultimately save his loved ones from possible harm and suffering.

Well...That's life...you never know what's in store for you, so before one makes a decision, its better to consider the consequences carefully as our loved ones might be implicated.

The theme song of the show can be heard on my blog.

虽然我愿意 Although Im Willing - 伍家辉 Wu Jia Hui

Yeah i know, you might think that the song is sung by a female singer, but its actually a guy.

Nevertheless...ENJOY! =)

Its been a really hectic but happening and fun-filled week for me.

Tuesday - Celebration at Kbox

Sally Yow GH's 21st!

P.S: seeeeeeeeee...i am tactful...i din reveal her chinese name.

Oh that's Sally and her Bf

Like damn cute right the two of them? =)

Tricia really loves the Mic laaaaa...

That spray can is just a sign of things to come - well, only for Sally i guess.

Spasticity personified.

Okay and you thought this was bad...

Take a look at this =)

LOL we totally drowned Sally with our spraying
and at the same time, thrashed the Kbox room...

And we managed to take a picture before we taopok Sally

Look at our innocent faces =)

So cute right! hehe ^^

There Tricia goes again...her mini concert!

Haha...Tricia, we messed up the house
instead of rocking it! Lol...but i enjoyed
vandalizing Kbox. =) We should have
done that to your b'day chalet lo!

After Tuesday's early celebration for Sally, we moved on to Zouk on Wednesday!

From left:

Carissa, May, Sam, Me, Bin

Okays here's presenting to you the cousins!

Sally, Andrea, Tricia

Haha we all had fun with Bin's nerdy specs!

Nerdy Tricia =)

Cute Andrea =)

Crappy Me =)

One thing we had in common though...we just can't open our eyes! LOL

Well...and guess what?? I went back to work at BR the next day.
Going back to work at BR was a pretty tough decision. Most of
good friends there have left, and returning was an option discouraged
by many. I guess they were just concerned that i might get sucked
into the politics which was so rampant previously, or afraid that i might
get exploited. Well...i am aware of the risk i'm taking =) and i do hope when
i leave BR again, it will be on a good note...just as before.

So that kind of sums up my week up till Friday! =)

Holidays are fun!!! Wooohooo....Bring on Saturday!

Will be K-ing with the Kiehls' Boys and Sarah and Jasmine on Saturday.

Shall update again...till then...Enjoy the weekend! =)

May 7th to 12th - Bangkok!

This trip to Bangkok went thru' feng feng yu yu...I'm sure most of you have seen my msn nick recently stating: "Urgently selling two pairs of Jetstar Tickets..." Well, that's because this trip was planned way in advance, last December to be exact. And clever Mr.Tofu took an unplanned module whose examination date was one day after the flight on 6th May. That explains the frenzy he was plunged into.

Really appreciated the people who help to ask around, bugging their friends and putting the same nick as me on their msn. =) Thks guys and girls!

Well, the tickets might have been wasted. But nevertheless, the thought and excitement of going to Bangkok with her, our second overseas trip together, made everything worthwhile. True, the logical way out would be her to just take the flight on the 6th, while i take a new flight on the 7th and meet her the next night after my paper. But then, it was her first experience of taking a flight, and i really wanna share that experience with her. However much money can never buy such a priceless moment together. This experience will remain deeply etched in our minds when we look back and walk down memory lane one day. =) Happyness!

At Changi Airport, we decided to have Popeye for our early dinner. Not really fantastic, except that the chicken is crispier and spicier than KFC's. Smile! =)

Haha we were damn kiasu! Our flight was at 6.45pm, but we were already at the Airport by 4pm!!! So even after our meal, we had plenty of time to spare. This picture was taken at the plane viewing area. Well, the subject is US, not the planes (if you are wondering why there are no planes in the background). Hehehe =)

A view from the plane's window. Awesome right?!!?!

Tick Tock

Tick Tock

Tick Tock

2 hrs later...

Weeeee....We are in bangkok! This is a view from the taxi that i was in. That HOT pink car is a Taxi, and Bangkok is full of these girly vehicles, sprawled all over the city.

Welcome to Baiyoke Boutique Hotel

Woah! That lobby sure shines! Haha the real lobby also look like the picture above, just that it aint that bright and shiny. But still we were awe struck by the resemblance to the pictures we saw online. I had initially thought that the pictures were enhanced to the max to deceive consumers, and that the real design of the hotel would differ substantially. Boy, i was wrong!
This is a good start to a holiday! Smooth sailing flight and nice lodging! =)

Light at the end of the tunnel? Eerie....

Room 435

Keys to the Surprise!

TADA!!!

Surprise Surprise Surprise!!! Exactly like the pictures online! Super comfy bed and romantically dimmed lightings. Not forgetting to mention, we got these two little cute red pillows which Jun Yan and See Hui didn't have. Haha envy right! =)

See...the lobby same as the online picture right? =)

1..2..3..Smile! ^^

Wah...Envy right? ^^

Hmm looks yummy right? Try eating this for 5 days in a row. I guess the only flaw of Baiyoke Boutique is its breakfast. It remains the same everyday. Well i guess you pay for what you get.

P.S: If you didn't know, a night accomodation at Baiyoke Boutique only cost SGD$59!

So "mai hiam si buay pai" already....

First breakfast only, that's why still happy and contented.

Me + JY
MBK is the first destination on our list! =)
Baby+Me =)

Hmm...what are they looking at?

Wah!!! No wonder...looks so yummy!

Siam Center on the left, Sally told me must go eat at Fuji Japanese restaurant. And i saw Fuji on the 2nd level - above the pink banner. Good recommendation Sally! Give u a pat on your shoulder =) wahaha

The menu really got rainbow shades!

Looking at JYand SH's delighted faces, you can tell that the food is delicious. =)

Dessert is up next!

Kori Azuki

Eh...i forgot what it this called.
But its a coffee dessert and the white cream is really nice.

Say Cheese! =)

Wahaha...i was telling baby and SH the other day that JY & SH are starting to have couple face.

Suan Lum Night bazaar

Eh...what am i doing?

On our way to Big C.
Can't resist taking a picture =)
Traditional pepsi bottle!

JY & SH at Pratunam Pier
Haha we really look like tourists!

Big C is up next!

Kup Koon Ka =)
Street Hawkers - Plentiful around Bangkok
A must-go place! NARAYA!
Look at her delighted face! =)
At first i thought the boutique was Tods. The decor is really grand and one would expect
the things that they sell would be expensive. But woah....You will be surprised. =)
Presenting to you - NARAYA

Hmmm Thai Cuisine for lunch at Central World...
JY and SH
Baby & Me
Lunch was simple fare.
Lychee ice blended
We couldn't resist taking a picture =)
And another one ^^
MOS Burger is green in Bangkok??? Weird...
Okays...no prizes for spotting us...hehe

Dinner was at MBK's chinese restaurant
We were really famished, it was already 8 plus and we were tired from shopping.
So as you can guess, no pictures were taken when the food arrived. Too Hungry!
This is the end result....oops! Nothing left....Shiok! ^^
Errr...that expression was...haha...loss for words...
Yeah, this is the name of the restaurant.
Yummy Dim Sum...and oh did i forget to mention we had bird nest for dessert? =)

Night View of MBK.
This is the place we frequent the most.
Baby & Me.
Love this picture! =)
SH and JY
Also very sweet right? =)
Chatuchak!!!
A nice little boy took this picture for us =)

Chatuchak was damn hot, like what many of my friends had told me. And boy, was it big! No no no..."Big" is an understatement.
IT WAS HUMONGOUS!
There were loads to see at Chatuchak, and i was glad that i went.
Like what many people say, "if you have never been to Chatuchak, you have never been to Bangkok." This is just so true. Chatuchak embodies everything that Bangkok stands for! The mass shopping, the street food fare, the heat....all in all, its a little Bangkok of its own!

You Got to Have This - ICE KACHANG!
Only 20bht a bowl.
As many toppings you want! =)

Aint these bunnies CUTE?
Wearing clothes and Hairbands!
Chatuchak is full of them, sprawled all over a particular section.
And only selling for 40-60bht each!
I almost wanted to buy one home!
Puppies, Kittens, Bunnies, Fishes, Snakes, Hamsters, Squirrels.
You name it, they have it.
They even have endangered animals there!
Slow Lorris - 1/4 the size of my palm
Iguanas, alligators, cobras, endangered species of tortoises.

Back from Chatuchak, was about to collect the room keys which i left with the reception, when i saw someone familiar. Siok Bin's BF, Nelson, was there at the reception! Wah seh...So Qiao, can bump into them! I tapped him, and he looked at me, stunned. Haha i guess he dun really rmbr me, as he has only seen me once or twice before only. Apparently they also just came back from Chatuchak and Siok Bin was in the hotel room already. Such a small world, they actually arrived at the hotel one day after us, thursday, yet we only met each other on Saturday! So we had dinner at Zen together. Pity we din take any pictures together =(

But anyway, here's what Baby and me ate ^^
Our Drink - Strawberry Syrup Freeze

Mixed Mushrooms

Australian Beef Set

Mackerel Set

Zen is just slightly more expensive than Fuji.
But overall, we still preferred Fuji over Zen.
Fuji's food is much nicer, and the experience is better =)

Take a look at the streets of bangkok

Outside our hotel
As you can see, there are people selling clothes everywhere.

Pratunam Market

This place is 100 times more packed than Bugis Street.
And there are food vendors positioning their stalls in the middle of the walkway
So you would have to squeeze past these vendors, and they dun care.

Wah seh...cool right...wahaha...
That's what we do every night when we return to our hotel
After washing up, we will put on our new clothes and PARADE!
The Joy of Shopping! =) Whheeeee...

At a Food Court at Platinum Mall =)

Guys and Girls! BEWARE OF THIS STALL AT LEVEL 5 Platinum Mall

You will see this stall almost immediately when you reach level 5.
Don't Ever Patronize this stall! EVER!

See that harmless and innocent looking woman in the picture above?
Far from it...She is a FUCKING BITCH OUT TO CHEAT TOURISTS!

Here's the story:
I bought a Tee from her, and i was wondering what size i should get coz i was buying for a fren. And that friend happens to be around the same build as me. So that FUCKING BITCH (who hasn't revealed her true colours) politely told me that i should get an S size. Well, trusting her, i said okays, "i'll get an S". However, i realised that it was pretty tight for me when i tried it back at the hotel. So i went back on the SAME day, to exchange the item for a size M.

Size S - 90bht
Size M - 100bht

This sign was stated clearly on her signboard.

And you know what she told me???

Fucking Bitch: You want change size must give me extra 20bht.

Me: Huh? But why? I want to change to M, there say 100bht, so it means i am supposed to give u 10bht more right?

Fucking Bitch: No no..you have to give me 20bht, coz u change.

Me: But you were the one who told me that Size S can fit me?

Fucking Bitch: no no...u go away...no change...wan change give 20bht

Me: But your sign wrote 100bht for M, why muz pay 20bht more?
Fucking Bitch: (started to wave me away) no no...go away...

Baby was tugging at me all this while, she know i was flaring up inside and going to be "HOT" already.

Me: Nah BEI CHEE BYE! Fucking Dishonest Bitch (kena pulled away by baby)

Yah i noe its only 10bht more = 40cts, but why the fuck should i pay her more?
She was obviously trying to exploit tourists! Mother Fucker! Spoil my Holiday! KNNCCB!

Its FUCKERS like her that tarnish the image of a country. I hope that Japanese tourist who was beside us all the while during the commotion would be deterred from purchasing anything from that FUCKING OLD HAG!

To all my friends and whoever that may read about this out there, purchase items at that stall at your own risk. She's a dishonest Bitch who's out to exploit tourists!

On the last night in Bangkok, Baby's boss came to our hotel to look for us at around 10.45pm. He brought us for supper at Chinatown and treated us Shark's Fin. Each person one bowl! =) Then he brought us sightseeing at Khaosan and Patpong, places that we din manage to go.
Even the 7-eleven is so nice! =) In Bangkok u can find 7-eleven everywhere. They can even be just opp each other and along the same street.

Nightlife in Khaosan - Ang Moh place

Okays, as the saying goes, "All Good things come to an end."A Last picture at Baiyoke Boutique before we leave =(
Baby =)
Eh...dun so sad lah...we will come back again okays? =)
Me

That Marks the end of our Bangkok Trip, but it spells the beginning of many more to come! =)

Bangkok, We'll be back!

Kup Koon Ka!!! ^^
