In the recent news reports, Terrorist have struck in Mumbai, India, leaving one of the 7 wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal, in carnage and misery. Most of the victims were US and UK tourists residing in the hotel, and these terrorist specifically targeted these caucasians in their attacks. Unfortunately, a Singaporean female body was found, and the reality of these terrorist threats start to hit home. Why would these islamic extremists sabotage their own tourism industry? I mean, the caucasians, and even the many Asian tourists are pumping consumer dollars into their economy by holidaying in India (IT'S SO SM*LLY, I DON'T KNOW WHY THESE PEOPLE WANNA GO THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE! -___- zzzZZZ) , can't they just be thankful that people are spending A HELL LOT OF RUPEES in their country, and they are eventually reaping the monetary effects of it through the multiplier effect? (is that the correct economic term?)

And look at Bangkok, "the land of cheap shopping and body, feet, head (did i miss out any other body parts???) massages". Look at what those sibei-free-and-nothing-to-do protesters have done to their economy.

THEY HAVE CRIPPLED IT.

Not only that! They have also deprived overworked and over-stressed Singaporeans from their usual dose of SIBEI CHEAP massages just before we celebrate Xmas. Looks like Xmas this year would be one filled with backaches and sore arms and legs. And you know who's gonna have the last laugh??? Companies like Osim would be laughing their way to the Bank (not Citibank i think, their stocks prices recently plummeted to basement 2, or is it 3?), because Singaporeans with backaches and sore limbs would be getting each other massage chairs, U-Zap, I-Gallop and all those portable hand and leg massagers for their Xmas gift exchanges this year! Back to that economic term, (YES! THE MULTIPLIER EFFECT!), this sudden rush to purchase Osim products, and all sorts of other health products would generate a multiplier effect in our Economy, and....

YAY!

Hmmm...

Here i am, sitting in front of my lappy, and at the same time laying comfortably in the living room, eyes glued to the TV this moment, and the next, peeking right into this space, blogging about the end of ...

MY PAPERS!
(well...not exactly)

But still, the important papers are mostly over...

YAY! I CAN FINALLY THROW MY TS NOTES ASIDE!

There's only like LSM1304 (life science module - I FUCKING HATE THIS AND I AM GOING TO SU THIS PAPER!) and NM2220 (media writing) left. And there's not much studying to do for Media Writing (DUH?), just have to be there at the examination hall on that day and just pretend that I have learnt how to write an adequate media report, news story, newsletter etc. In other words, "SMOKE" in CAPITAL LETTERS! =)

All of a sudden, I feel that a load has been lifted off my shoulders. Feel so carefree. Relaxed. This new found feeling seems so familiar, so close to heart, sooooo HOLIDAY-LIKE! *

YIKES* ^__^

The holidays are coming soon!
I CAN"T WAIT!!!
I need a break real soon.

Anyway, i just realised that I haven't been blogging about Kiehls' recently, not that i HAVE to blog about Kiehls! Its just that Kiehls is very much a part of my life, the friends that I've made during work@ Kiehls. Even though there are lesser work slots @Kiehls these days, I realised that the Kiehls people do meet up quite often for meals, birthday celebrations, sports and games such as badminton and volleyball. And we are gonna have a Xmas Chalet this coming festive season, courtesy of William, the unsung "Kiehls coordinator"! Thanks William for always making the extra effort to organise such meet-ups! =)

Night of Songs and....MORE SONGS.

Friday evening was an extremely long and HAPPENING night.

Sam and Tric came to find me after work@Kiehls.
We decided to head back to Dover to have our dinner since Tommy and GJ weren't really hungry after consuming plenty of finger food during work =)
Met up with May after our dinner.
She brought the drinks, vodka, gin, whisky.
And we headed to one of the usual void decks to drink.

I brought my favourite childhood board games, Aeroplane Chess (loosely translated)
And May bought poker cards. Apparently, i couldn't find my usual deck at home.

We barely drank when Tric spilled her drink over the board game. =(

THAT WAS NOT ALL.

So we moved to another May's void deck.
And guess what???
Tric QUAK spilled Sam's drink this time round...AGAIN!

FEEL LIKE SLAPPING HER!

Luckily there were two more other tables there!

SO we continued playing DAI DEE, INDIAN POKER.

YAY!!! ^___^

ONE HALF OF TS IS DOWN!!!

I finally have the time to blog again! =)

This is gonna be one LOOOOOOOOONG blog entry.

The past few days were really packed to the brim with rehearsals in Kent Ridge hall. We were usually cooped up in the lounge, practising our lines and going through the different scenes of our TS practical. Much of the time was spent crapping and bumming around too, eating, talking about everything and anything. And we took loads of photos, of our costumes, random moments, and even moments of people dozing off at one point or another. But on most occasions, it was our director, HANNAH CHEE!

MY SUPER LONG THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

I totally slept the day away, can anyone believe it?

8.45am - 6.15pm

Now that's an effing whole 9 HOURS!

And if anyone is wondering how I can waste my day away sleeping, here's why...

Thursday

Woke up at 6am to prepare for school
had to reach school at 7am for a presentation
On KIEHL'S. Kinda nervous yet excited
because we really put in alot of effort into this project.

As you can see, we even drew and coloured our own tees
and guess what??? We even drew our Kiehl's balloons!
All this just to create the Kiehl's atmosphere =)
for our Kiehl's presentation!

After TS tutorial, Tric, Lele and I made our way to VIVO city to have our lunch and hang around to wait for Sam to finish school. We were heading to the airport in the evening to study overnight!!!
We totally "NUA" our time away lah, from like 1 plus to 6...shopping at the various shops in Vivo.
LELE bought this mickey mouse sweater on impulse! She got psychoed by Tric and me ^^ hehe
and I bought this long sleeve tee with a hoodie at ClubMarc. And to top things off...

WE FOUND $20 ON OUR WAY TO VIVO!

I reasoned with Tricia that it was my karma, as i dropped $2 when I was buying Yong Tau Foo at the deck on Wednesday evening. So Heaven decided to reward me 10 times in return for my loss. ^_______________^

With that $20 bucks, we bought snacks and a multi-plug, so that 3 of us could use our lappies at the same time when we studied. T3 is a really nice and conducive place to study, do work or just chill with friends. We had dinner at Popeye's before heading to TCC to study. They had this nice and huge round table complete with a circular sofa seat, just the right size for a company of 3-4 people to sit confortably (even sleep comfortably).

LONG AND TIRING DAY IN SCHOOL...

Today was one of the LONGEST DAY that I stayed in school. Reached school about 1pm, to do my readings for my TS script, simply because I HAVEN'T READ IT and HANNAH IS SO GONNA GIVE ME ANOTHER SCOLDING!!! So there i was, prim and proper, seated comfortably at the table in The Deck with Lele and Kee Onn, plunged into some deep and serious reading. Hannah and the rest arrived at 2pm, and we started with our discussion, beginning to choose the scenes that we wanna do for our practical exam. It's like only 2 weeks away, and we aint got much time left to practice, so every rehearsals and meet-ups that we have, has got to be fruitful - we cannot just while away our time. =(

Time just wheezed past, and before we realised, it was already 4pm! And i had to rush off to Temasek Hall to meet up with my NM3215 project mates to finalise details for tmr's presentation on.....

HALLOWEEN 2008

This Halloween, i decided to be....

Yeah...i know...its cliche...that's what many said.

But its fun...who cares! ^___^

And the costume is really easy to manage.

Eyeliner - Checked.

Colourful Lollipop -Checked.

Loose Fit Blue Jeans -Checked.

And there you go...Ready for Halloween!!!

Ended work early on Friday, just so that Sam and I could changed and get ready for the night.
We knocked off at 6pm...and we went to change into our outfits. Mine was easy, just put on my white long sleeve tee, while Sam's one was abit more troublesome. You'll see what his costume is from the pictures later. ^^

My make up for the night was done by Sophia from Lancome. She was really awesome, and really very sweet to help me with my make up (she's not oblige to help anyway, but she was so so NICE!). I didn't expect her to be so meticulous with it you know? Before applying the make up, she even applied toner for me, and then moisturiser, and then finally applying foundation. =) So SWEET RIGHT??? And when she helped me put on the eyeliner, i was so not used to the itch of the pencil eyeliner that my eyes turned bloodshot. HAHA cool lah...i look like Evil L.
