Hey Gorgeous Gathering

Met up with the the Hey Gorgeous peeps last night for dinner.

Its a pity that a few of them couldn't make it, namely

Katty, Ron (overseas), Charlyene (she is supposed to treat though)

and Christine too.

We had originally planned to meet at Newton Food Centre,

as suggested by Charlyene, for some Zhi Char (think hotplate tofu),

but the venue was changed last minute to somewhere in town,

as a couple of them couldn't make it for dinner eventually.

So we met at Orchard Mrt, and as usual, I was late! =)

HAHAHA...and even when we reached Taka (Ted was already there)

We struggled to decide on a suitable place to eat!!!

We ended up dining at Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao.

Dinner was pretty good la.

I kept disturbing Joreen about PORK.

Because she dun really eat pork.

LIKE SO WTF???

How can anyone don't eat XIAO LONG BAO???

How can anyone don't eat CHA SHAO BAO???

How can anyone don't eat PORK CHOP???

okay [-___-'] You get my point...

Anyway, Joreen ordered XO Seafood Fried Rice...

And it tasted like Salted Fish Fried Rice.

Like DUH!!!

That's why its called Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao

Not Crystal Jade Fried Rice and Congee.

Din Tai Feng's PORK CHOP Fried Rice is still the Best!!!

But then again, Joreen doesn't eat pork!?!?!!@#!@#

See??? PORK IS GOOD.

Anyway, John, Joash and Joreen left after dinner.

All the Js. Merely Coincidence.

So that leaves five of us for desserts @Xin Wang HK Cafe!

Serene, Sharon, Linda, Ted and Me ^^

We had the Mango Snow Ice, Milk Tea and Japanese Mochi Ice Cream!

What a way to wrap up dinner! =D

p/s: B! Serene and I were wishing u were around! =P

It was a pretty tiring day though.

Here's what I did yesterday...

1.30pm - 3pm : Tuition in the afternoon.

3.30pm - 5pm : Worked at Nokia Music Parade next.

5.30pm - 6.45pm : Cabbed home to play soccer. (okay I know quite absurd)

7pm - 7.30pm : Bathed and get ready to meet the rest in town.

8.10pm - 11.20pm : Dinner and Dessert.

It was home sweet home after that.

And I slept till 12.30pm this afternoon!

Kudos to myself. ^^

And!!!

And!!!

It was our 2nd month!!!

B called to wish me! =D

When I was in the midst of teaching tuition,

At 2.40pm Singapore time, 28/03/09 = 11.40pm American time, 27/03/09

And I was telling her that it aint the 28th yet.

So I texted her back...

At 3pm Singapore time, 28/03/09 = 12am American time, 28/03/09

^____^ Damn funny!!!

Totally made my day! =)

Interesting Friday Tutorial

Just got home from school.

Had NM3204 tutorial today.

Tutorial was pretty slack though.

Because my group is more or less done with our Web-quest project.

And we were randomly viewing YouTube videos

When I suddenly remembered that I wanted to show them this video.

Its a video of a Chinese Ritual.

Of a Chinese Medium getting possessed by a Female Murder Victim.

It looked pretty realistic though,

You can hear the possessed medium wailing like a baby.

SCARY SHIT.

Onlooking tourists were invited to ask questions too.

So I don't think it was made up.

Celest's Wedding @Church of the Holy Trinity

It's been ages since I've last stepped into a church.

And last Saturday, I laid foot onto one during Celest's Wedding.

She invited us to help her usher her guests.

And also to help with the wedding proceedings.

Kevin and I were in charge of opening the doors

Weddings are just so beautiful...

Its like the start of another journey together with your loved one.

And during the sermon/speech given by the pastor,

He actually divulged the "secret" to a long lasting marriage.

He said, "Remember these four sentences"

& use it whenever you quarrel with your spouse.

I was wrong
Please forgive me...
I Love You...

And yes...this was the secret to a blissful marriage!

I don't know if it works.

But it sounds sensible. ^^

Was at Gloria Jeans doing work with Tric on Wednesday

And then...B came online!!! =)

Gooooood thing was that Tric's lappy had a webcam!

So instead of doing my work, hahahaha i chatted with B!!!

And then, I got Tric to join in the conversation too...LOL

I've got no idea when we started making funny faces.

But it was definitely after Tric joined in. So she started it.

Here I am...blogging in the morning again.

Perhaps my mind is clearer during this time of the day.

When the mind, after a good night's rest,

Can then ponder upon yesterday's happenings.

This week is gonna be pretty busy as well.

I've got tons of assignments to complete.

Project meetings to attend.

Celeste's WEDDING on Saturday! (I'm looking forward to this ^^)

Working at Kiehls' Raffles City on Friday and Sunday.

Talking about work...I REALLY NEED TO WORK!

Gotta start saving up for HK trip in May =(

I don't wanna end up going there with insufficient cash to splurge.

I'm really looking forward to this trip, like SERIOUSLY.

I'm a Big FAN of noodles, especially WANTON MEE. (okay...abit random, I know)

And I heard from people that the noodles there are really special.

Special in the sense that, the texture of the noodles is different from SG.

Its supposedly very Q (spring-y) & the char siew extremely tender & succulent.

Okays...I'm getting carried away with food [-___-']

Anyway, YAH!

Working at Kiehl's this week will probably be the same usual thing.

Heard from William must wear Lab Coat again.

Thankfully, this time round, the venue is Raffles City.

AIR-CONDITIONED

The last time we worked at Tangs wearing that Lab Coat.

I was practically wiping my forehead and cheeks half the time.

We were situated outside the main entrance of Tangs,

And MY OH MY...the sweltering heat almost killed me.

Those who know me, would know that I perspire like, a hell lot???

So I'm really glad we are working at Raffles City this time round =)

Last night B called me and we talked for awhile.

The night before, we had a minor-major dispute and both of us got upset.

I guess that's the reason why long distance r/s will never work out.

It really takes alot of effort to keep in touch with each other

Considering the major time differences between two countries

And its physically and emotionally draining for both parties.

Such mental strife really contributes alot to the culmination

of tension and frustration, usually over the most minute and ridiculous issues,

& when you've calmed down & pondered about the unfolding of these events,

You would wanna slap yourself on the forehead & question your own

absurdity, & not to mention, the petty-ness that overwhelmed both parties

at that particular point of time, when keeping a "cool head" seemed unimaginable.

However, I'm glad that everything is okay now =)

B's going to HK with me, I've bought the tickets already!

Now, the only obstacle left is HER MUM.

LOL ^^

I'm all prepared already.

Devised a couple of plans to PYSCHO her. WAHAHAHA

Everyone, please wish me luck. I think I might need ALOT OF LUCK.

Oh man...I just realized that this is quite a long, wordy post.

Its just so not me to be blogging like that.

Serene does it all the time. She BLOGS extremely LONG POSTS.

And I think I am subconsciously being influenced by her.

Higher expectations only begets greater disappointment.

How true.

I don't usually do my blogging in the morning.

But lately, I seem to be doing quite a bit of this.

This is NOT an emo post, just some random thoughts

That's been running through my mind recently.

I'm sure that in some point of your life

You've been let down by your own expectations

Whether its by someone, or something important to you.

So can we then say that, if perhaps, we did not have

such high expectations in the first place, probably,

there would be lesser room for disappointment ???

But then again, when someone or something is of

Great importance to you, naturally, you will pin

High hopes on them, thinking the best of them.

And when they fail to live up to your expectations,

That's when disappointment sets in. Big Time.

Expectations and Disappointment share a direct relationship.

The higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment.

And I'm sure you all can relate to this feeling.

It doesn't feel good. At all.

Okays...I got to leave home already.

Shall blog again tonight.

I wanna do more "night" blogging.

I think that's more ME.

B has left for States...

Days leading up to her departure was simple, but happy =)

Packing her luggage together with her

Going for late night suppers at Boon Lay

Talking till we fall asleep

Waking up in random hours of the night to talk

And then talking till we fall asleep again...

18 days will pass by very fast...I THINK.

OKAY, maybe when you're missing someone,

Its a different story altogether i guess???

Really glad to receive her call when she touched down in HK

And again, when she touched down in States at 6am this morning.

B sounded really excited! =P

Hope this trip wil be a great one for her!

Was chatting online this morning when i woke up, when B's friend suddenly told her that our "kissing" photos appeared in 联合早报 !!! ( > . < )

Actually, I think we expected it laaah, just that when the "news" hit us, (literally) we still felt the element of surprise and shock! The rest of the Gorgeous peeps were also featured. Winners from NTU, Ron's amazing Capoeira performance, Joash's comedy dance, and also RP's magicians.

Katty also texted me saying,

"Hey. Both of u appear in today zaobao! E picture that u both kiss. It says u two 热吻没加分. Go sue the reporter."

HAHAHA damn funny la!!! Katty you never read the contents right? The reporter was actually helping Ferynn and me ^^ 他在替我们不值喔. He feels that we kena SABO, and despite that, Ferynn didn't make it to the top 4. So sad right??? I feel that our duet very nice lo, and B's singing was really great!

Never mind, B, you are my 心目中的校花!!! =P

Alright! The post that everyone is waiting for!!! =)

ENJOY!!!

Stayed at Baby's place the night before to rehearse for our item.

Had quite some fun practising with her sisters and cousin watching us!

They were really helpful la, help us think of our entrances and moves.

Thanks for the ideas! ^^

Slept at 4am, in fact, we couldn't sleep! o.O

I think we were too excited for the next day!

LOL

And we woke up at 7am, coz we had to reach at 9am for run-through.

B's mum was very nice to drive us there! =) So EARLY and EMPTY!

which contains a question for us.

We were judged based on how we answered our questions. =)

At this point of time, Baby was eliminated le.

Damn sad lah, i think she shouldn't have been leh.

STUPID INTERNET VOTING. CRAP

WHOEVER HAS THE TIME TO VOTE FOR THEMSELVES

Random events from last week to date.

Yum Cha with Sam and Tric.

Kevin was supposed to be there as well.

But apparently, he fell sick. =(

And he couldn't join us for Dim Sum.

Went to Ling's place in the morning for a jog.

Dragged her outta her bed. THAT PIG.

We barely jogged two rounds and we headed for breakfast.

LOL. Good Job.

Took a shower and had a lil nap before meeting Sam and Tric.

Before we went for Dim Sum,

Accompanied Ling for her blood test.

She might appear nonchalant here,

But deep down, she was really too afraid to look lo!
