EMO SATURDAY



Had KFC breakfast this morning!

Like, FINALLY! =D



We managed to drag ourselves outta bed at 9.15am today!
And we bus-ed down to Jurong Point, reaching about 10am
Breakfast was pretty good, lived up to its hype and reviews
The AM Platter consists of a butter scone too, crisp & fragrant
Topped with honey, the KFC version wins Popeye's hands down, anytime!




After breakfast, we headed to NTUC to get paper plates for tonight's BBQ
B was saying that we are like a married couple, doing all these stuff.
Waking up in the morning, going for breakfast and doing grocery shopping
Hmmm, perhaps this is a sneak peak into married life in the future?
Blah, its all too early to say =D
While one should look ahead to the future, what really matters is now.
The present ^^




Anyway, the Hong Kong trip is a no-go already.
We tried talking to her dad last night, only to be received with a tongue lashing
I guess in comparison, I am really lucky to have supportive parents.
It sucks when parents place business priorities above a child's welfare.
Their ignorance aside, its their selfishness that irks me.
B did try to placate me, telling me not to be angry with her dad.
But honestly, I can't help it. $1k is really not a small sum.
How can he just tell us to forgo the tickets just like that?
Just because he was afraid B might be quarantined when she returns?
And that she might implicate the people in the office, affecting the business?
I wish the media can properly educate the masses on the H1N1 saga
To enlighten them on the quarantined rules instead of blowing things up




Home Quarantine only applies to overseas returning individual, no?
As long as they minimize contact with their family members,
for instance, staying in their rooms, not sharing items,
the rest of the family members can still get on with their normal lives.
Correct me if I am wrong -.-




How would this, in anyway. compromise the business?
My mum even suggested using our home for quarantine,
Should we be made to serve home quarantine upon return.
But b said that her dad will never allow this.
And why?
Coz that would mean that B will not be able to work for 7 days!
How would that matter again?
Well, coz apparently, B has to work in her dad's office.
Its a MUST.
Without her, business will collapse -.-




All along, she has always hated working for her dad.
But too bad, the paths in her life have all been laid out for her
If you noticed her blog recently, and all the plurks by the side
You would have seen all her complaints of getting outta office
That's how shitty she feels about working in her dad's office
Life is not a bed of roses. Life sucks. FHL/FML too.




Well, I guess in life, we can't always get what we want.
Good thing is, we can choose to be look on the bright side of things.

I'm gonna make the best outta things!




I've already penned a letter to Jetstar's Customer Relations department.
I'm gonna appeal for a refund of the tickets, reason attributed to H1N1.
Hopefully, I will get a refund, or at least a waiver of the date amendment.
That's what the Jetstar call centre person advised.
So now, I can only pray and hope for the best.
(keeping fingers crossed fucking do not work!)

To make sure that I woke up in time, I set 3 alarms on my handphone. I was already dreaming of eating the Breakfast Platter when my alarm clock sounded. Wasting no time, I dialled B's number immediately, only to hear her still murmuring over the phone. Apparently, she was too tired to drag herself outta bed! -.- KUKU NEH NEH! So I asked her to go back and sleep!

LOL but actually, I was secretly glad too,
Coz I also wanted to laze in bed still! ^^

Yeap, so off to bed we went! No KFC breakfast again =( B woke me up later, at about 9.45am. I almost forgot today I was supposed to go with her for her medical check up at SGH again. B came by to pick me up and we headed to SGH. Surprisingly, we were made to put on face masks this time round. In fact, everyone had to put on a mask.

Gonna have BBQ on saturday, looking forward to it!

Our "Married" life in SIMS 3!!!

Friday

On Friday, we went to have Bugis for some shopping and dinner.
Before we knew it, we were checking out Wii packages at Sim Lim.
It's amazing how fast the value of electronics depreciates in SG.
The best package that we found after asking around the stores is

$350 Nett

Package includes:
1 Wii console
2 sets of controllers
A choice of 20 games

And the Ah Beng threw in a additional sweet deal for us!
A free Wii sports kit too, aint really sure what's that
But I'm pretty sure he was trying to flirt with B
(He should go take a look in the mirror first) -.-

We managed to make our way outta the bargaining
Heading towards the back of Bugis for dinner - B's FAV

It was dessert after dinner, and we were damn full.
Since it was a friday, and B's good friend was at Zouk
I managed to pyscho B to go take a look at Zouk! ^^
LOL, so we drove to Great World and walked to Zouk
Saw xinyi at the entrance, or rather, she saw us first.
Damn funny, coz B and I just went there to look-see look-see
And we headed home after awhile. Oh and we saw Derek =)

It was Jurong Chalet again. Stayed over since it was getting late.




Saturday

Heading towards home the next day.
Coz I need to take some stuff to pass to a fren.
Took a few pictures at the bus stop =D

We went to have our dinner at Astons - The Cathay
When we reached at 4.50pm, we were relieved
Coz there wasnt a queue yet =D
However, the time waiting for food to be served was a pain.
I suspect Astons prolly taking their own sweet time to serve
Perhaps to make people wait longer for their food
Thus, sustaining the length of the queue outside.
Which in turn, gives the false impression of their popularity.
Hmmm...just a wild guess by me only ah =P
Don't say I slander them hor! LOL

After dinner, we were walking around Cathay aimlessly
Coz wn was supposed to collect back her pants from me
And she was damn late. HAHAHA nothing new lah...

That was when we bumped into SARAH, TOMMY and WILLIAM!
And that's how the KTV plan materialised! =D YAY!
Glad that B didn't feel paiseh to join! HAHAHAHA
She says she finds them really nice and approachable! ^^
So we went to find B's present for her dad while they ate dinner
KTV was at 8.30pm at Dynasty!

I brought B to lucky plaza to buy her Dad's bluetooth headset
Going from store to store to check out the prices for it.
As usual, all the ah beng's eyes seem to be stuck on her like glue
Following us all around when we walked past their stores.
Before we knew it, the whole lucky basement level know that
There is a couple looking for a bluetooth headset already -.-
And we were halted by this store, which showed us the headset
Even before we could even ask if they had that particular model.
No wonder so many tourist scams happened in Lucky Plaza.
Most of the electronic shops are linked and they are in CAHOOTS!

Must be the AH BENGS AGAIN!
(I dont care, it must be them)

And those BENGs like never see pretty girl before!

Asking her to leave down her contact instead for the warranty card.

R.O.M* in November!

Its pretty sudden, I know. Aint no particular reason.

Saturday in Town, Finally =P

Just got back from a long day out in town!
Head to Astons at The Cathay for our dinner
And we bumped into William, Sarah and Tommy!


They invited us to join them for KTV session @Dynasty

Been pretty long since I last joined them for gatherings!
And boy, we had a great time singing our hearts out tonight =D

It was a night of soccer at Fico again last night.
This time round, we played for free =)
Because Quan Bao's friends knew the manager at Fico
So we could play for as long as we wanted!

B was really sweet to accompany me! ^^
I invited B's gf's bf and his friends to join us

Which was good lah, since B can bitch with Xinyi while we played.

Insanely HOT WEATHER

The weather has been rather unbearable these days, getting on my nerves.


*wipes sweat off forehead*


Issit a sign of the world coming to an end soon?



Surely, Global warming has started to rear its ugly head. Ice caps in the Antarctica are melting and rising sea levels is slowly consuming our land. This period has always been the hottest few months of the year. But in recent years, the temperature has been soaring insanely, and it seems damn bloody humid all the time. From the weather forecasts, temperature's gonna be hovering around 34 degrees the next couple of days. Sigh =(



I do hate going out in mid day, coz even after I had my shower, I would start to perspire almost immediately after I toweled myself dry. And by the time I reached the bus stop, the back of my tee would have been half soaked with sweat, and sticking annoyingly to my back! This feeling really sucks big time.

I wanna be in air con room 24/7 =(

The weather is DAMN HOT!!!!!!


Anyway, I realised that I forgot to share a picture of work last week.

The job scope was pretty easy, just some simple directing of traffic to Wisma's new entrance. The good thing about this job was the short working hours, 12-2pm and 6-8pm. What we all hated was the 4 hours break in between, which was long enough for a decent rest, but aint long enough for us to make a trip home and rest before returning to work.



On the first day of work, I had lunch with Sarah Yam before sneaking (YEAH I SNEAKED IN) into Tang's staff canteen to spend the next 2 hrs sleeping. I simply walked in through the staff entrance and walked straight into the canteen, and went to the "sleeping area" where they had couches placed in a dark corner specifically for their staff to take short naps during their breaks. Lucky for me, the couch in the first row was empty, and they had installed 2 fans which were aimed directly at the couches. I swear I had the best afternoon nap during work ever! ^^



2nd Day of work was spent having lunch with derek, ivan and michelle (I've blogged about it in the last 2 post) while waiting for Zoe to come back from her newspaper interview. Oh yah, I saw the newspaper article on her and 3 other bloggers. She's the best looking there, I must say.



Chanel looks like a chao-ah-lian-blogger-aspiring-model-wannabe.

Naomi simply looks like just another blogger desperate for fame, judging from her revealing pcitures, you can tell for urself. What's up with female bloggers these days? Must they reveal so much just to draw attention and viewers to their blogs? I mean, if you are really pretty, do you have to resort to showing so much skin to prove your point?

You will see that she has a perpetually SAD expression (苦瓜脸）etched on her face. Wait, I think its her brows. And all those thick make up just don't seem to disguise her weird brow shapes at all. I can't imagine her with her make up off. *shudders* Almost all of her pictures either show her scantily clad in lingerie from her photoshoots (what kind of photoshoot is this???) or her baring her suspisciously deep cleavage in all her normal self-taken pictures.

Hmmm, maybe its a ploy to draw attention away from her weird brows...

I think there's no need for female blogger-models to flaunt so much skin just to attract viewerships. If you are really pretty, just showing your face in photoshoots is enough. Here's an example of a photoshoot model who does not have to pose in sezy lingerie just to appeal to the masses.



Perhaps she's not as famous as the Noami or Chanel in terms of blog hits, but at least she's not demeaning herself in any way despite doing photoshoots. I applaud Zoe too, for her stand against doing sleazy photoshoots.



K, I dunno how the topic moved to these model-bloggers, but I was seriously complaining about the weather in the first place. Must be the hot weather, annoying the hell outta me. Anyway, I've ranted enough. Someone just do these "sexy models" a favour and get them some clothes.

04/06/09 - Thursday

Mongkok Dim Sum

B came down to find me after my work last Thursday
We were actually deciding where to go for our dinner
Kinda sick of having fastfood and the usual Ba Chor Mee
So I brought B to this Dim Sum place at Geylang Lorong 8




I think the Dim Sum is pretty decent despite its location
Although this place somewhat resembles a dingy Kopitiam
The taste of their Dim Sum is hardly compromised at all.
Baby and Me feel that the Dim Sum is comparable to Yum Cha (:

After our wonderful and sumptuous dinner, we headed home.
Tric and Sam, next time we go okay! Its really quite nice you know?


06/06/09 - Saturday


I was relieved that I aint working on Saturday.
It really sucks to work on a weekend, when everyone's having fun.
So I was pretty ^^ that I was off that day, despite the tempting $25/hr

I stayed over the night before at B's place (:
Seems like this is the usual routine now every weekend
Fridays and Saturdays are stay-over days!
Coz we usually go out till late on these two days
And its easier to just sleep over and start the next day together!

Anyway, we headed to my place so I could changed first
Before we proceeded with the plans laid out for the day.
Every weekends, B will drive whenever we went out
So its pretty convenient getting to places all the time
But I feel rather guilty making her drive us around always :(
I cant wait to get my driving license so I can take over the wheel!!!

p/s: Bbbb...gimme 5 more months okay? ^^

Anyway, we caught the movie "Hannah Montana" @Great World City


The show was....FABULOUS!!!

Seriously, do catch it okays!!! =D


Well, after the movie, we kinda shopped around in Zara.
And we got pretty bored. Great World is a boring place.

Then, I didn't know how it all started...

B suddenly suggested heading to Cineleisure to take NEOPRINT!
So impromptu, but since we had nothing to do, we got on our way
Town is like just a 5 min drive away from boring Great World City

When we reached Cineleisure, we went straight to the Neoprint place
There was really a huge crowded at the Neoprint place that day
It was my ages ago since I last took Neoprints *nostalgic*
While waiting for our turn, we even warmed up by camwhoring (:





It was finally our turn and I goaded Bb into making funny poses!
We squatted, tip-toed, hugged, kissed, leaned on each other...
Bascially, we simply did almost anything lame that we can think of

We got to take our pictures twice as some error occurred initially.
So, being more "experienced" now, we conjured new POSES!

And boy! We were famished as we realised that we missed Dinner!

We had craving for Zhi Char that night, so we went to Holland Dr.
But two person, abit difficult to order Zhi Char :(
Somemore Bb always eat so little, so we just ordered 2 dishes

One of the nicest Hotplate Tofu I had ever tasted!

What a way to end our day, FULL and SATISFIED ^^



07/06/09 - Saturday

I had work on Sunday at Orchard Mrt
Doing the same thing, directing people to Wisma

Bb gave me a surprise visit during my break from 2 - 6pm!!! ^^

*SMILES*

I didnt expect her to come all the way down to town
And when I called her at 2pm, she didnt pick up her hp
Instead I got an sms from her which read,

"sorry baby, u called? I was in the toilet"

Little did I realised that she didn't wanna answer my call
As that would have given her whereabouts away (she was on the train)
So sweet luh!!! :) Love you baby! <3


We were still pretty full from the Mac Breakfast in the morning
So we shared a bowl of Char Siew Ramen and Crabmeat Omelette
The Peach drink was damn ex lahhh! $4.90 I think -.-

After lunch, we were just too lazy to leave.
So we just slack there and talked and NUA ^^

It was only after a long while before we decided to leave.
Headed to Best Denki at Taka to play free Wii =)
Time always seem to fly by whenever you are not working
And never fails to crawl like a snail whenever we are working

Overall, had a wonderful and eventful week!
Weekends are the only days I look forward to now ^^

Gosh, its already nearing 6am!!!
This has been a really long post (:
Time to get some sleep now

Friday - Yum Cha Session

With Sam, Tric and Fish.
Vivian was supposed to join us for Yumcha,
But she knocked off late that day
So she met us at Novena instead, for UDDERS!



And B was supposed to meet us too, but she arrived even later
By the time she arrived, they all finished their ice cream liao -.-


Sam and the rest went home after that, while B and I met her clique.
And all of us basically ordered doubles scoops topped on waffles =)


That night, they chatted and gossiped till the clock struck 12.
And we all shared cab back home.
